All indication is that William Barry Townes died on October 11, 2004. We have not been able to reach anyone to confirm this nor have we seen an obituary although he is "listed" in the Oregonian. Bill was born February 17, 1944. We "believe" he was married to Louise Townes and lived in Tigard.

Bill (William Thomas) Blank
I am shocked to learn that Bill passed away. I had the opportunity to connect up with him a few years ago in Scappoose. He was a big, robust guy who enjoyed boating. I couldn't get over the change in his physical stature. We each wrestled each other in gym class because we were the smallest guys. The next time we meet each other we both were around 6 feet and had a lot more meat on our bones. Bill's wife had passed some time earlier, like mine, but he found someone special and happiness with his new wife, Louise. RIP.
