Sally was a neuropsychologist, university instructor and was beloved by her students.  She fostered many who have gone on to help others in their careers as psycholgists.

Sally and I started at Sylvan Grade School together as eager first graders.  What I remember most about Sally was her high level of intelligence, her gentle spirit, and her gorgeous dark braids and long eyelashes.  She had a ready smile and was nice to everyone. We were in Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls together during our years at Sylvan.  I remember her house on Canyon Lane and her mother, who had the same lovely manner as Sally.  What a shame she died too soon.

I still miss Sally!  She lived down the street from me and was one of my dearest friends in life.  She was so amazing...brilliant, curious, fun-loving and adventurous.  We either walked or rode the bus together to West Sylvan and bussed to Sunset HS.  We slept under the stars in the back yard and had GRAND ideas about so many things.  She was compassionate and helpful...got me through math classes with her bus-stop tutoring, but never just answers.  I saw her several times through the years, and when I moved to Seattle in '89, we spent a few annual weekends with Barbara Brandon Thorpe and Sigrid Eckholm Houston at the Oregon beach.  She left a big imprint on many lives.  I honor and love her.

Roberta, Susie and Steve,

It meant a lot to read these memories of Sally. As you have mentioned she was brilliant and so sweet to all. Roberta you made me laugh with your memories of her tutoring of you. I so wish she was going to be there this weekend. Life is so funny...it just keeps getting deeper with all these past connections weaving in and out of our present lives. Sally will be remembered always.
