Gary was already attending Cedar Hills Grade School when I arrived in the 6th grade.  Gary, along with most of us in the 7th grade began taking dance lessons from Mr. & Mrs. Scofield in the basement of Barnes School.  Gary enjoyed dancing and I remember that the two of us were in a dance contest on the TV show, "High Time" which was formatted after American Bandstand.  We had a great deal of fun going with our classmates to this show.  Sadly, we did NOT win the contest.  Gary was a great guy.  I am sorry to say I lost touch with him during HS but I do know that he was living in Salem at one time because he stopped at my parent's house.  I will always have fond memories of our dance classes and just goofing off with Terry Trachsel, John Tomas, Greg Rasmussen and others in the neighborhood.
