Rodney K. Diegel was born June 21, 1944 and died May 5, 2012.  He joined the Air Force after graduation, married, Lorraine (who died May 1, 2012) went back to school and became a machinist.  He started his own business and as of Februrary of this year said he was "almost retired."  Rodney is survived by 3 sons and his daughter who he considered his "best fishing buddy" and some grandchildren.  Rodney's wife, Lorraine, had been ill with cancer and for the past few years and he was her primary caregiver.  Rodney died of natural causes just a few days after his wife.  

A funeral was held May 11th at Gateway Chapel of the Chimes, followed by a reception at Gray Gables Estate, 3009 SE Chestnut St., Portland, OR
