Norman Paul Doughty, 69 of Beaverton, Oregon, passed away on October 27, 2013 in Lakewood, Washington.
The chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Finley- Sunset Hills Mortuary in Portland, Oregon. Graveside service with honors immediately following at 2:00 pm.
Norman was born on March 8, 1944 in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Sunset High School in Portland. Norman was a medic in the Navy and was enlisted from 1963-1967. Norman loved the outdoors and was a trained outdoor survivalist in the military. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved CB radio as well as flea markets and target shooting.
He is survived by his daughters Maria Meyer of Gresham and Donna Butterfield of Wailea; son James Doughty of Kelso; his grandchildren James Doughty Jr. of Kelso, and Kayden Meyer of Gresham; friends Mary & Dave Olson of Longview; his caretakers at Hidden Lake Adult Foster Care Home of Lakewood WA; and many friends and family who loved him.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Lilli Doughty.
