CARL LEE DURBIN

Carl Lee Durbin was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 4, 1942 (your bio says '43, but it was '42). At age 16, he moved with his parents to the Portland area, and was a 1962 graduate of Sunset High School, where he was known as a good dance partner. He was a classmate of his future wife,  Jeneane Ann Davis (1944-1994), whom he married in April, 1965. About the time their first son Kyle (1966-2026) was born, he received his cosmetology license, a career from which he retired in 2007. Upon his retirement, he moved from the Tigard area to Mesquite, TX to be near his son Peter's family. When the family relocated to Camas, WA in 2015, Carl had a residence nearby until 2022, when he moved into an assisted living facility due to deteriorating health. He passed away April 30, 2026 in Vanvouver, WA. He leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Dawnda, 5 grandchildren,  2 step grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Jeneane and his son Kyle. They are all missed. 

I was recently contacted by Carl's son, Pete,  regarding Carl's death.  He is going to write something up about each of his parents, Carl & Janeane Davis Durbin and send it to me.  In the meantime I found this notice on-line.

"With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Lee Durbin of Portland, Oregon, who assed away on April 30, 2026 at the age of 83. "
