Thanks a lot to Stu Thompson for his detective work finding out about Dick. He, Mike Phibbs & I did lots of things together during our Sunset years, most of which we hoped our parents never would find out about! Many fond memories of swim meets, the coast & other secret trips in my folk's "borrowed" '51 Kaiser - those were the days :-) The last time I saw Dick was in the mid '90's when my wife & I met him for dinner at a hamburger joint on 17th & W Burnside, whose name I can't recall. It was great to see him, but we were quite concerned about his health at the time. We tried to reach him a number of times during the next year or so, but never got another response. I am so sad that he is gone.
