Carmen Rae Coulter contacted me this morning, 5/29/21, with the following message:
Sue passed away peacefully with her husband Bob by her side on May 19th, 2021 at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia WA.
This came from Carmen Ray Coulter: Since there won't be an obituary I will try to give some of her history. After high school Sue went to work at Montgomery Wards for a year then got a keypunching position with one of the timber companies in downtown Portland. She was married and during that time took care of her parents until their passing. I'm certain the marriage was strained due in part to the care taking and it didn't work out. Sue never had any children but always took them under her wing. She taught my daughter to bowl.
Sue moved down to Lake Tahoe for several years and worked for Health and Welfare but didn't really like all the snow so she moved to Kingman Arizona. She worked at the hospital in the emergency room as an admitting room clerk. She met Bob Damanski, got married and built a home in Kingman. She loved the desert and hot climate. Bob's job got moved to Washington and they moved. Sue was always ready to move back to the desert.
Sue did a lot of volunteer work with her church, seniors or the local humane societies. Her passion was the sad and lonely dogs that she encountered. Since leaving Portland she always sent a donation to the Oregon Humane Society.
I was reminded that Sue enjoyed gardening and playing the slot machines. Her ashes will be spred in the Hualapai Mountains above Kingman.
Sue had back surgery several years ago and since then her health had been diminishing with other issues. She dearly loved her husband and her dogs and will be surely missed.
I'm positive that Sue is at peace and happily meeting all her pets on the Rainbow Bridge. I hope this helps.
