When I arrived at Cedar Hills Elementary in the 6th grade I remember going home and telling my mother something that a very funny fellow named, Billy Phillips had done at school She looked at me and told me to ask him what his father's name was. The next day I did that and reported back that his father's name was Bill Phillips and he was a junior and that his parents were divorced. My mother then asked him to ask where his father went to school. Seems Billy's dad and my mother knew each other when they both attended Toppenish High School in Washington! By the 7th grade we were all taking dance lessons in the basement of Barnes School with Mr. & Mrs. Scofield. Dancing was something that Billy did well. Billy was always ready for a fun time and I am certain he is missed by those close to him.
