Sunset High School, Beaverton School District
Class Of 1962
ANNOUNCEMENTS

It is not in The Siver’s acceptance speech, so here it is in prose.

Dennis did not reflect that he cherished the fact that Dennis went to Aloha Grade School during his first year or two in his magnificent climb.

We were in Mrs. Nelson’s class.  One day we were getting our grades back following one of our first math classes.  Den got %100 and I got a %95.  Den patiently told me where I had gone wrong and coached me on how to get a better grade next time.

I may be mistaken, but I think that his family home at the time was near downtown(?) Aloha past the Grange Hall.

Alas, he left for better surroundings in the Cedar Hill area while I tried to hide my origins.  For the nonce.  At the various reunions we still parse our discussion vehicles across the moat of our beginnings.  Shame turned into cherishment. The beauty of it all is that Dennis is a really, really good guy.  To be cherished.  Best, Lauren

(P.S.)  It should not be forgotten that Dennis was a really good and close friend of Mike Gleeson and that friendship was treasured in Mike's heart until he passed and thereafter.
